ON THE SCENE: THE FIRST ANNUAL SEX AWARDS DEBUTS FOR SHOWTIME
(Hollywood, Calif.) - GlamorGirl was on the scene at the inaugural presentation of The Sex Awards, scheduled to air on Showtime in late January, 2014. The
Awards event took place at the Avalon nightclub in Hollywood, on October 9th, 2013 with GlamorGirl onhand capturing the red carpet arrivals of the
adult industry's top stars prior to the start of the ceremony.
Once the stars were seated, the event got underway, with Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake hosting. Drake noted that more than 100,000 fans
had cast their votes in choosing the winners.
Top winners included Alexis Texas, who was named Favorite Porn Star Website, Little Red Bunny who took Cam Girl of the year, James Deen who picked up the
Hottest Adult Stud, Riley Steele for porn’s Best Body, Ashley Fires who won Sexiest Adult Star, Bonnie Rotten who was voted Hottest New Girl and Vivid
Entertainment who took Best Parody for "The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody."
Halfway through the show, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the legendary Ron Jeremy who thanked his collegiate parents for his adult
industry success, repeating their admonishment that "We don't care what you decide to do for a living, but whatever you do, you'd better be damn good at
it."
Live entertainment included Sam Tripoli who took the stage for several minutes of rollicking comedy and Maya Sinstress and Team Clown Tits performing a
burlesque dance routine to Firewater’s “Hey Clown.”
The final and top award went to Asa Akira who took Porn Star of the Year and thanked her "agent and best friend" Mark Spiegler. Then Akira announced that she had signed an exclusive deal as a Wicked Pictures contract star.
When the event ended, the festivities moved to Bardot nightclub on the second floor of the building where the stars partied until closing time.
