Lawyer Sues Facebook Over Sex Trafficking Allegations
(Houston, Texas) - Lawyer Annie McAdams accuses Facebook of allowing sex traffickers to lure young people through the company's platforms. Facebook's parent company Meta says human trafficking is abhorrent and that it uses technology to "thwart this kind of abuse." Facebook argued that it was protected from lawsuits because they had immunity under the Communications Decency Act.
