LGBTQ Event Canceled After Far-Right Mob Storms Park
(Tbilisi) - Hundreds of opponents of gay rights on Saturday swarmed the site of an LGBT festival in the capital of the country of Georgia, vandalizing the stage, setting fires and looting the event's bar. The organizers have accused authorities of being complicit in the face of far-right threats of violence. Homosexuality is highly stigmatized in Georgia clashed with Western-leaning political parties on the issue.
