(Brooklyn, New York) - Al Goldstein, the bearded, bird-flipping publisher of Screw magazine who smashed down legal barriers against pornography and raged against politicians, organized religion, died Thursday, according to a friend. He was 77. When he shocked the nation in 1973 by publishing surreptitiously-shot nude photos of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, circulation soared to a half-million.
